LeJu was founded by Lenny Trines, a Dutch-born jewelry designer who became inspired by nature’s elements, and Juan Munoz, a London-based businessman from Colombia who is responsible for the global management of the company. They founded the company with the desire to fuse modern design with sustainable materials from nature. LeJu mixes manufacturing techniques gathered from South America with European fashion to create their colorful and unique jewelry. LeJu’s designs are made using a very special seed called Vegetable Ivory, which is acquired from a palm tree called Hyphaene Phytelephas found in the Amazonian rain forest. All of LeJu’s designs are handmade by Lenny in her London workshop which guarantees the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
